commencement of lessons and after the treatment of digital based synthetic
phonics instruction, post test was conducted with the Reading Achievement
Test and the data collected was analyzed using mean and standard deviation.
The findings of the study revealed that there was a gain in achievement in
reading ability after treatment with digital based synthetic phonics instruction
and there was no difference in the achievement gain of pupils based on gender
