Abstract

The Confucius Institute of Chinese language teaching began in March 2008 in Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka . As of January 2017, a total of about 2500 students learning Chinese.In 2016, a total of 51 students acquired Confucius Institute scholarship went to China to study , were obtained to Xiamen university, Nankai university, Communication university of China, Shanghai international language university, Southwest university, Hebei university and Lanzhou university 16 universities such as learning and study opportunities, about 100 full-time students for local enterprises and Chinese translation, they are promote the development of local economy and promoting China - Nigeria economic exchanges and trade plays a more and more important role. Although the Confucius institute of Chinese language teaching in full swing, but compared with the Chinese language teaching curriculum in, there are some problems and the insufficiency. In order to teach Chinese in Nigeria, feature article,pointed out some problems existing in Chinese teaching and the insufficiency, I hope this article can be about the development of Chinese teaching in Nigeria do some reference suggestions.
