CHANGE AND CONTINUITY OF NIGERIA AND CHINA’S COMMON DESTINY RELATIONSHIP

Abstract

The relationship between China and Nigeria reached a new stage recently, with the concept "China-Africa common destiny community” in a further step. Since 1500 the fate of China and Nigeria were linked together. China and Nigeria support each other, learn from each other in different historical periods have different characteristics. Began in the 16th century colonial era, China and Nigeria are submitted to imperialism and colonial powers. And then China and Nigeria are in the same fate and struggled to survive form the colonial system by the end of the second world war. After the World War II, the Western powers system finally disintegrated, the Nigerian people and the Chinese people finally achieved their independence. In 1950s, 60s, the people of Nigeria and China have basically completed their independence, after consolidated their independence of whole Africa and Asia continent, after the cold war, China and Nigeria entered into economic development process, China and Nigeria welcome their own prosperity and development. China and Nigeria begin to the cooperation for political and economic development, and contribute to human civilization and development jointly.
